Review: This Round for Love (Champion Hearts #2) Malia Mallory

This Round For Love
Champion Hearts
book 2
Malia Mallory

erotic romance

Will Ford's obsession with victory ruin his chances with Darcy?

From NYT and USAT Bestselling Author Malia Mallory

When Darcy Winthrop travels to Miami to organize a mixed martial arts event, she imagines sunshine, sand and maybe even a holiday fling if she stumbles across the right guy.
What she finds is a sexy brawler with something to prove.
Ford Cooper's a man on a mission. MMA made him a star, but a major injury put him in the "has-been" category. He's determined to fight his way back to the top one punch at a time and love is a distraction he doesn't want.
Now Darcy's in for a fight—a fight to keep Ford in the ring without breaking her heart.

Review:

I received a free copy from the author for an honest review.

I finished this book in one sitting, it felt like only minutes!

I loved the story line, it was reasonable, unlike a lot of the books I've read lately where it's so outlandish it would never really happen! The characters are well developed, but not overly detailed. You know enough to make it a great read, but not so much that it's pointless detail.

You have Darcy, a strong confident woman, former pro tennis player, and hotel events planner.
We also have Ford, a previous MMA champion recently recovered from an injury and looking to get back on top.
Ford doesn't want any distractions, but can't help but notice Darcy. Darcy is looking to get over her previous relationship while she's in Miami managing the event. What they find in each other is surprising to them both.

This story is full of action, emotion and some sarcasm. I really enjoyed it.
This is listed as a book 2, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I didn't read book one and didn't feel like I missed out on anything!

The book had great flow and kept the pages turning, but I feel like the ending was rushed, or things were left unfinished. It just didn't feel like a completed story.
